This is my review of the Hippo Rental system 4. I have used this system for over 6 months since it was version 3. I have to say I really love it. I highly recommend it if you rent land, houses, or shops. Since version 4 many useful features have been added to the system. The one I like best is the web plug in. It lets you run the system through the HippoTech website. For me this is good if I have to check rent or anything else when I can not log into Second Life. With their IM plugin I can then send an object IM to any tenant from out of world if I need to let them know something. The basic rental box has many features such as adding your custom textures for both rented and un-rented states of the boxes. There are many many features that one can set for each box. These are controlled by note cards and the server in the regular version. With the web plugin you can do it all from the web without any note cards at all. I used the system before the web plug and used the server. This is handy as well as it can give you all the updates on the boxes as well calculate profit plus many more features. What I like about version 4 is that I can now set rental time for a real month. For me this is good for my land rentals and tiers. So rather than set to 4 weeks wich is not a true month I can now set to 30 days. You can set the price in Linden Dollars or set a US price and have the machine convert the rent to Lindens on the current LindeX rate. This is very handy for land tier payments.The basic system comes with rental boxes server and vendors. However there are many plugins such as the web plugin to use instead of the server. There is a door plugin for home rentals. A security system, plugin that gives renters access to a security system once they rent. A web to IM plugin and a window plugin. I use this system everyday on my 2 regions and is vital for me to keep track of rent and tiers to make sure I make my maintenance fees. Without a system like this it would be very difficult. To lean more visit the Hippo Tech website here , or on the SL Exchange or visit their inworld store here . Their support has also been very good though I have not had much trouble with this system at all. I say I highly recommend this system. {mosgoogle}
